The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and Allstate are beginning the nomination process for the 33rd annual Allstate AFCA Good Works Team^®.

This year, we are depending on you to nominate a deserving student-athlete, and possibly your head coach, who is worthy of this prestigious award and the extraordinary recognition opportunities that come with it.

Below, please find a brief explanation of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team program and instructions for nominating your candidate.

Purpose

The Allstate AFCA Good Works Team is comprised of 22 college football student-athletes and one honorary head coach who make outstanding contributions in the areas of volunteerism and civic involvement. These individuals embody the true spirit of teamwork and giving back through commendable acts of kindness.

Goal

The goal of this program is to provide recognition for these future community leaders, their teams, their academic institutions and the communities they support.

Overview

The 22 student-athletes and honorary head coach named to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be selected from nominations submitted by their SIDs. From the nominations, an esteemed voting panel comprised of former Allstate AFCA Good Works Team members, former college football coaches and college football media will select 11 players from the Football Bowl Subdivision, 11 players from the Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III and the NAIA and one honorary head coach. The final team will be announced in September of 2024.

Recognition

This season, the AFCA and Allstate will work to ensure members of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team receive proper acknowledgement for their selfless deeds.

2. National and local media coverage
3. Social media content
4. Recognition at the Allstate Sugar Bowl^® in New Orleans
5. NIL Compensation empowering students to continue their good work

Criteria for Nomination - Student-Athlete

Although there may be exceptions, it is suggested that 2024 student-athlete nominees be:

1. An upcoming junior or senior for the 2024 season
2. A player who has made significant on and off the field contributions to his team
3. Demonstrates outstanding character and dedication in the classroom that makes them candidates for graduation
4. A player who has made a commitment to volunteerism by donating time and energy to serve others
5. Free of any felony charges or criminal activity
6. Has not been a previous member of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team

Most importantly, candidates should be actively involved with charitable organizations, service groups, and/or exhibit extraordinary devotion to a personal cause in their lives. They should display sincere concern, reliability, and make a favorable impact on the organization or activity in which they are involved.

Criteria for Nomination - Head Coach

1. A head coach who has demonstrated a commitment to volunteerism by donating time and energy to serve others and is of outstanding character.
2. Free of any felony charges or criminal activity.
3. Has not been a previous Honorary Head Coach of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.

Like student-athletes, candidates should be actively involved with charitable organizations, service groups, and/or exhibit extraordinary devotion to a personal cause in their lives. They should display sincere concern, reliability, and make a favorable impact on the organization or activity in which they are involved.

Nominations are limited to one football student-athlete and head coach per institution.

By submitting this Nomination Form,  I represent and warrant that:

• The American Football Coaches Association (“AFCA”) and Allstate Insurance Company (“Allstate”) (collectively “Licensee”) has permission to use the name of the institution that I have included below, along with its logos and/or trademarks, in any marketing/promotional materials, in any medium so chosen by Licensee, solely related to the Student-Athlete Nominee and/or Head Coach Nominee that I have nominated below (“Nominee”) and related to the 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team;
• The Licensee has permission to utilize any imagery I provided in any marketing/promotional materials, in any medium so chosen by Licensee, related to the Nominee and the 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team;
• The Licensee has permission to use the name, image, and/or likeness of the Nominee, in any marketing/promotional materials, in any medium so chosen by Licensee, related to the 2024 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team; and
• I hereby release Licensee from any and all claims, causes of action, liabilities, damages, or expenses, related to, or based upon, the use or distribution of the above-described materials.
