Ahmand R. "Coach Tink" Tinker is a native of LaGrange, Georgia, and has over 20 years as an educator. Coach Tinker earned a B.A. degree in History from Valdosta State University, M.Ed. Degree in Sports Fitness Management from Troy University, Ed.S degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University, and Doctoral Degree in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.


Coach Tinker began his coaching career at the University of Alabama-Birmingham in 1997, where he served as a graduate assistant. He has had the privilege of coaching at various high schools, including Harris County High School (1998-1999), Washington-Wilkes High School (1999-2000), LaGrange High School (2000-2003), Kendrick High School (2003-2008), Crisp County High School (2008-2009), Carver High School (2009-2011), Spalding High School (2011-2013), and East Coweta High School (2013).

In 2019, Coach Tinker assumed the role of Principal at Maggie Brown Middle School, where he has been tasked to work with alternative students from various backgrounds. Tinker brings tons of experience working with students who may need an extra boost in life to be successful in the areas of behavior and academics. He believes in his motto of "Empowering Students, No Exceptions, and No Excuses!"  


From 2014-2019, Coach Tinker held the role of Assistant Principal at East Coweta High, where he previously served as Defensive Coordinator in the 2013 football season. Before coming to ECHS, he served as the Offensive/Defensive Coordinator for two seasons at Spalding High School. Besides his coaching knowledge, Tinker brings a wealth of experience to East Coweta High School, including a 7-year stint as Athletics Director at Kendrick High School and Carver High School, both located in Columbus, GA.  


Before his stint at Kendrick High School, Coach Tinker had served on the football coaching staff at LaGrange High School. During his tenure on the football coaching staff at LaGrange High School from 2000 to 2003, he was an assistant football coach and was responsible for developing running backs and defensive backs. In 2001, the Grangers won their 9th State Championship title. Notably, Coach Tinker helped the Grangers to win their 1st USA Today National Championship and 8th State Championship title as a member of the LaGrange High School football team, a decade earlier.


While at Kendrick High School, Coach Tinker served as athletic director and head football coach. During his five-year tenure, 52 players signed college scholarships to play collegiate football. In 2007, Kendrick High School had the most football players in the Muscogee County School District's history to sign athletic scholarships; 18 players.


As Athletic Director/Assistant Football Head Coach at Carver-Columbus High School, Tinker served as the athletic representative for the Construction Committee of the "New" Carver High School. While in this role, Tinker oversaw the completion of a state-of-the-art athletic facility that houses the football program and includes: an expanded weight-room, training room, team meeting rooms, locker rooms for football, offices for all coaches and staff, as well as several conference rooms. On the field, Tinker helped lead the Tigers to two region championships and two playoff appearances.


Tinker is the founder of FRE Sports, which provides resources and a platform for coaches, parents, and athletes to achieve success in the sports industry. His administrative responsibilities include business operations, athletic scholarships, potential marketing clients, and liaison between the high school and college coaching staff. In addition to his many endeavors on the field, Coach Tinker is active in many organizations. In particular, two are the Minority Coaches Association of Georgia, which he serves as the Executive Director, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., which he is a proud member.


Tinker considers the opportunity to serve as Director of Football Operations for the Rising Senior Foundation a great honor. He wants to continue the Rising Senior Foundation's success over the last ten years by consistently providing high school football players the skills needed to be successful after the 4th quarter has ended.


Coach Tinker has one daughter, Asia, and two sons, Andrew and Tai.
