Dave Terry was named Director of Football Operations at the University of West Alabama, according to an announcement by head coach Brett Gilliland on March 5, 2020.
 
Terry comes to UWA from Georgia Tech, where he joined Georgia Tech’s football staff as an operations coordinator in 2019.
 
A four-year football letter winner at Temple (1999-2002), Terry served as the offensive and defensive line coach at West Charlotte H.S. in Charlotte, NC, for two seasons (2015-16). In addition to his on-field coaching duties at West Charlotte, Terry was the team’s academic liaison and eligibility/compliance coordinator. He also served as a behavior modification technician for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district.
 
Prior to entering education and coaching, Terry held various roles in the private sector with LGA Executive Services, US Airways, and UPS. He also previously worked as a personal trainer and in member services in the fitness industry.
 
Terry graduated from Temple with a bachelor of business administration degree in human resource management with a minor in accounting.
