About

Coach Marcus D. Green strives to be as a servant leader to his scholar athletes with an intentional focus on their mental, physical and emotional states. Marcus is a Detroit native that grew up on Detroit's East Side. Marcus attended Penn State University where he was a member of the football team, the club basketball team, a charter member Iota Phi Theta fraternity incorporated and the 2009 Mr. Black Penn State Pageant winner. He graduated from Penn State with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications for Broadcast Journalism and a Minor in Sociology. Marcus is also the creator of "Determined Series," an inspiring visual story-telling platform. As a producer, editor, and videographer, he has produced award-winning work for ESPN "Outside the Lines", ABC "World News Tonight" with David Muir (formerly Diane Sawyer) and on "Determined Series". As a coach for the last eight years (five as head coach), Marcus is now committed to being an educator and introducing quality opportunities to the student-athletes of metro Detroit who are determined to earn scholarships to post-secondary institutions to further their academic and athletic endeavors. Coach Green is a member of the AFCA, NCMFC and MHSFCA. Marcus currently has three student-athletes currently playing in college. In the 2024 season, his program posted their first undefeated regular season in school history, one All-State Nominee, two All-Region selections, 21 All-Conference selections and posted seven defensive shutouts. Marcus participated in Under Armour’s High School Coach Development Camp, coached in UA's select camp series, earned the inaugural Under Armour/UFL Coaching Fellowship where he was a Defensive Quality Control Coach for the Michigan Panthers and was nominated as the MHSFCA 2024 Coach of the Year for Division 5, Region 4.
